Experience the magic of a bull moose wading across a woodland stream at sunrise, nearby mountains reflected in its waters, and the magnificence of blazing fall colors as your backdrop. Timed to coincide with peak fall colors, this workshop takes place near the end of the fall rut, or mating season, when bull moose venture forth into open areas, presenting themselves in prime condition - antlers polished - as stunning photographic subjects. Cows, and their offspring now approaching their first winter, add to the drama.
Fall is unique in Maine's North Woodsr. The combination of spectacular fall colors combined with one of this country's most stately animals create a cornucopia of photographic opportunities that will excite even the most discriminating wildlife photographers.

THE MAINE MOOSE
Itinerary Day 1 (Sunday) - Arrive in Millinocket, Maine, no later than 5 PM, at which time you will gather for dinner. Afterwards, you'll receive instruction on photo
Day 2-6 (Monday-Friday) - Mornings will begin shortly before 6 AM at which time you will depart the lodge for the North Woods, where moose and fall colors will fill your viewfinder. Sometime during mid-morning you will head back to town and enjoy lunch, a classroom session, and a brief nap. Around mid-afternoon, it's back to work as you head out into the field where you will photo moose until the sun goes down.
Day 7 (Saturday) - All good things must come to an end. It's time to go home and have all those rolls of film processed and pixels organized. Following breakfast, everyone will say their goodbyes and return to their homes across the country. Shuttles to the Bangor airport will depart at 9AM.
This itinerary is meant as a guide. Weather conditions, along with other factors, will dictate if and when we photograph certain subjects and visit certain locations.
