skill levels and imaging formats will learn techniques that will elevate their
photographic skills and place them on the road to producing winning images on a

The Moment of Discovery This
session will cover what to do in the field when everything — lighting,
subject, and background — comes together. Jump-Starting
the Creative Process There
are only a limited number of ways to photograph a polar bear or snow goose.
Right? Wrong!
That kind of thinking is the biggest obstruction that keeps many photographers
from expanding their creativity and producing new and exciting images. This
session will cover techniques that Weldon has used to jump-start the creative
process. In Search of The Winning Image In
this session, participants will learn the biggest stumbling block that prevents
many photographers from producing a winning image, along with the different
techniques that Weldon employs in overcoming it. Also covered, are the various
elements important to transforming an ordinary photograph into a winning image. 12:00-1:30 p.m. - Break for Lunch 1:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Afternoon Topics . . . Digital Workflow Learn
every step and technique that Weldon employs during this creative process that
begins in the field and ends when he stores the final product on his external
hard drive. The Digital Darkroom: Making A Symphony According
to Ansel Adams, “The negative is the equivalent of the composer's score, and
the print the performance.” Participants will learn the digital
equivalent of the darkroom techniques that Adams used to make his classic
landscape images. The Missing Element: One With Nature Have
you ever viewed an image that left you at a loss for words? One so beautiful
that when you first viewed it, it caused you to say to yourself
